Child-Proof Gates

There’s a child-proof gate between our dining room and living room. It’s a gate that swings open and has this annoying bar running along the floor. I don’t pick up my feet when I walk, so I’m constantly hitting it when cross over it.

SF Appointment

Appointment in SF today went much better than expected. E and I wasted time until it was done: 2 stops at the museum, countless elevator rides, and a lot of walking. Now to keep waiting for baby.

A Nuisance

I realize I can be a nuisance and I think that realizing this means something.

Blizzards, Facebook, And Chickens

E hadn’t slept well, so yesterday I took him to Runnings to see the chickens. After repeated attempts to climb in with the chicks, I grabbed one and held it out for him to touch. He jumped backward and quickly became uneasy with them out of the bin. I tried with a smaller chick and received the same reaction.

Last night, we watched The Social Network. I was excited to see this movie after the premier of the trailer, but never actually saw it, until now. The film exceeded my expectations and had much more humor than I thought it would. I also tried the Mint Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen and was wildly unimpressed. It was nowhere near as good as the Thin Mint Blizzard they had had the year before.

Ashley has an appointment in Sioux Falls tomorrow and I’m sitting on pins and needles waiting for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she had to stay there for, at least, a day.
